Diet drinks - the artificial sweeteners taste vile.
Having to forswear foods I have loved all my life.
Trying to find low carb meals when eating out.
My weight is very very slowly creeping up and I think it is because it is winter.

Partly the short days and grotty weather keep me indoors more which reduces the level of exercise.
Partly, I think, because your body reacts to the season.
I'm not really eating any more (unfortunately not eating any less either) but I feel the urge to curl up and 'nest' instead of going out for a nice long walk.

Still trying to persuade myself that next week will be the one where I go low calorie no booze.
However it is harder to motivate yourself when you are inside most of the time.
At least I am maintaining low carb.

Cheers

i have noticed that i.m getting hungry more due to the cold weather

I find my appetite changes dramatically with the seasons; salads v stews.

I think it's a natural instinct to stock up (build fat stores) to help during the lean times at the end of winter. It might take a while for our instincts to adapt to 24/7 supermarket availability ;)

Yes, I was beginning to feel like that too. I've started making sure my carbs stay below 30g a day and am consuming a lot more fat so that I'm not hungry (I have butter or cream with almost everything). I have started to lose weight again. I have never ever lost weight at this time of year before.

..................I have butter ................

Can I say
'Keep spreading the word' ;)

Seriously thought, it's great you can find a way that suits you, keeps the bg down, and that you know you'll stick at.
Bad news is you will feel cold.
Good news is you'll want to, and can always put a coat on.

Ah, but that's where you're wrong, feeling the cold would be wonderful, at the moment I am still just wearing T-shirt and jeans and getting some really funny looks! I really would like to be 'normal' . Um......I can't always put a coat on........I don't actually own one! :)

Keep going, you will.
I went from bring the bloke that used to be in shorts and a T shirt in winter, so the poor old sad bloke in a Tog 24 duck down puffer jacket, micro fleece, and thinsulate gloves.
Just remember to allow in the diet budget for the new wardrobe as well.
(And don't do what I did. - 'XXL', then then thought I'd peaked at 'L', bought new clothes, and now I'm in 'M'

And if I can do it, believe me, you can!!

So pleased for you. Its great when it starts coming off isn't it

It's thanks to a conversation between you and jack412 a while back :)
Jack is brilliant isn't he. I can never thank him enough for all the patient advice and diet dr sites links. It took me awhile to trust the upped fats but god the weight just fell off so long as I kept my carbs around 35g a day
I sometimes look at the amount of food I'm putting away and all the nice stuff. Steaks chicken salad cheese cream and berries ect
