Type 1 Anyone have this experience?!..

If anyone can give me any comfort on what this is, id be happy... Occasionally i will wake up with a really weird 'pain' which feels like its at the back of my under neck.. What happens is i generate lots and lots of sylivia, mouthfulls i have to spit out. The 'pain' is like a heartburn type feeling... This does happen occasionally, the only pattern that seems to relate is perhaps when i am higher than usual?.. Please comment people , i dont wana hear im dying and stuff like that , i worry enough :D thanks !!
 
Have you ever tried raising the head of your bed I had a problem with acidrefux and this solved the problem. maybe

I have not tried this, does this sound like acid reflux ?? Thanks
 
it could be from what you are telling me reflux has many disguises, my doctor suggested a piece of wood under the head board about 1 1/2 inches. or 5 cm

Have just woken up with it again :( i looked up acid reflux and it sure looks like what im experiencing, thank u ! Very glad u replied as i now know, i will try that also, people seem to say it works online :)!
 
If it is acid reflux - Rennies or similar antacids will give some relief. I had this for years before being prescribed Omeprazole and it did the trick. I take it your talking about a burning sensation in the throat rather than in your neck (where it would be muscle pain). If I substitute the word "throat" for "under neck" it certainly sounds like acid.
