Anyone Use Ebay

I use Ebay quite a lot, very handy when you cannot always get to the shops that you want. I also buy test strips from there.

I have used Ebay for years both as a buyer and a seller, but think recently they have lost the plot, far too many drop shippers selling on there and stuff being shipped from China. Also I now find that prices of a lot of things are cheaper elsewhere on the internet.

Ebay started off as a place where people bought and sold their unwanted items now its turning a big shopping mall and the feedback system is a joke especially where the big power sellers are concerned who use the "you leave me positive feedback first and I will leave it for you" method of 100% good feedback by blackmail.

Calm down, breath, Rant over

Not particularly. I bought my medical textbooks off there (I wasn't going to spend upwards of £40 on a book). I also bought a racing bike. Apart from that, I tend to shop elsewhere on the internet.

I use it infrequently when I need bits for my old SAAB or if I want to get hold of stuff that isn't really sold around here (Like vintage plastic model kits etc.) though I do browse it quite a bit when I've little else to be getting on with.

I've used it a lot for general purchases (esp books and DVDs), but used it for the last year for buying strips and lancets for my accu-chek aviva.

But I will need some more strips soon, and when I checked last night prices seem to have gone up considerably (I managed to get 4 boxes for £25 about 6 months ago, now 1 box seems to be £15 or so, inc P&P).

I did get one box that gave me slightly suspicious results, so I concluded that it probably hadn't been stored properly, but overall the experience has been very positive.

Use it in 'fits and starts' really. No problems other than one faulty product. Retailer did refund quicly and efficiently. ALWAYS use Paypal to pay. Purchased test strips a couple of times with good prices and no hassle.
Site is good to negotiate and the Canon Shop Outlet in particular is good. Printers/Cameras etc all at really good prices, just because it may be in the wrong box....or somebody changed their mind, older kit ? Can't be bad ? Everything is new but classed as re-furbished and has a full 12 month G/Tee.
