anyone's antivirus going nuts?

There are no tech guys around as it is the holiday period.
It has been reported and will be dealt with a.s.a.p. to determine where the fault lies..

I'm still getting the warnings.....

Why not try another freeware anti virus program to see if it is Avast or not. You can always go back to Avast if there is no change.
I haven't seen any more warnings since I removed Avast and installed Bullguard.

Hi Adrian,
Because, I believe the Avast is doing the right job, the other antiviruses don't seem to be picking it up.
Some anti virus programs have a built in firewall that will allow certain things in or block them depending on whether they think they are malicious or not. Avast may think or know that this particular script is not malicious but is just warning you of its presence. Wait to see if the techy guys come up with anything.

My local town PC repair shop has received lap tops with
windows8 on them .
Numerous requests of installing the windows7 back onto them .

Seems the windows8 isn't popular - I use windows7 and
love it :joyful:

Yep, it is a VERY ordinary OS compared to Win 7. Windows 10 won't improve things either. Let's hope 7 is supported as long as XP was
