I think that will be the one with lots of low-GI carbs, piles of fruit and root veg and as little fat as possible. The 'normal healthy diet' I believed was good for me and followed for years while blaming myself for not being able to lose weight. The very same one that made me diabetic and carried on making it worse until the day I discovered this forum and learned about low carb dieting.
(Good news - 19kg lost in 3 months, fasting BG never above 5.2, cholesterol down to lower-end of normal and no sign of the proteinuria that was worrying me in October 2013. Enjoying bacon and cheese, not missing sugar and spuds in the least!)

I do wish they would bother to read what they write..... perhaps if I had eaten more chocolate I might not be diabetic...
