No, get same issue on my work iphone 14 running ios 18.2 as i get on my S24 Ultra and the useless 'Tap to open' while it is already open.I have an iPhone (an XR) and have resisted all the IOS updates following 17.5.1. for that reason. I don’t want to risk it but am interested to hear if anyone still has a good Libre 2 connection with IOS 18.
Good to hear, thank you. I have resisted getting a cell phone but am having problems with the charge cords of the reader not uploading to the website so I think it’s time.I use the Libre 2 Plus on an iPhone 14 pro running iOS 18.1.1, it’s running just fine.
You say you need an iphone can you explain to mister ignorant here why it has to be an Iphone? After a few years of no problems I’m having problems with my Freestyle libre 2 reader so have decided as I need an iPhone anyway now is the time to buy one. Does anyone have experience with libre 2 and the latest 18 iOS. The current freestyle compatibility webpage gives an iOS of up to 17.5.1.
Maybe “ need” was the wrong choice of word. I chose it based on my familiarity with my iPad and in line with what the rest of my family use and are familiar with. I do understand that the freestyle libre also works with a variety of other phones. There is a comprehensive chart on their website. It details the phone models and operating systems. You say you need an iphone can you explain to mister ignorant here why it has to be an Iphone?

Just come across this after posting my own thread. I’m having issues getting my phone to scan my sensors to get them started. Just this evening I attached a new one, no matter what, it wouldn’t scan. So peeled it off and tried another one. Same problem. Searched the internet and come across a few references to the latest apple iOS update not being compatible with the Libre app and sensors. I looked out my own old iPhone which doesn’t have the latest update so downloaded the app and hey presto, it scanned the sensor straight away! After a few years of no problems I’m having problems with my Freestyle libre 2 reader so have decided as I need an iPhone anyway now is the time to buy one. Do you phone Abbott when you have these problems? I do and they will talk you through some remedies and if they don’t work they’ll replace the sensor free of charge.Just come across this after posting my own thread. Really not ideal as I prefer to just use my new phone. Personally feel this needs well highlighted as system is defunct. Going to see if I can get a reader as a back up
Abbot have replaced readers for me in the past. I was also offered one from the diabetes clinic this week to have as a backup if I ever get a problem with the phone, or lose it.Just come across this after posting my own thread. I’ve not yet as only started using these a couple weeks ago but I will try phoning them through the week. I’m in the UK so very lucky I don’t pay for them so no need for them to replace but hopefully they can assist with the scanning issue as I don’t really want to be carrying 2 phones around with me.Do you phone Abbott when you have these problems? Our local hospital will give me one if I ask. I just got one for my mum the other day as she is also type 1 diabetic and it worked fine. Be good to have one as a back up rather than use another phone.Abbot have replaced readers for me in the past. The NHS is paying for them though, so Abbott need to replace them, rather than the NHS paying twice. If they're faulty, it's important to phone Abbott and get replacements.I’m in the UK so very lucky I don’t pay for them so no need for them to replace but hopefully they can assist with the scanning issue as I don’t really want to be carrying 2 phones around with me.
