Paleomedicina doctors "are" shouting the news across the internet and at every carnivore and diabetes conference. Type in Zsofia Clemens and Csaba Toth on YouTube and Google.
Fast forward to the 1 hour 16 minute mark and listen to what Dr. Zsófia Clemens, a neurobiologist and clinical researcher specialising in nutrition, nutritional therapy and brain research has to say about putting type 1 diabetes into remission. They're still trying to cover it up.
Like Zsofia Clemens said, there's a backlash against case studies, it's the fault of the publication system they won't publish it. They wont publish anything about a full recovery or remission, this is how the publication system works. They'll publish animal studies but not humans. Doctor Anthony Chaffee said keep getting the word out and have people keep on doing this. we really can't ignore it anymore. That's what I'm doing.....getting the word out. It worked for me. Did you watch the video from the 1 hour 16 minute mark? Two case studies, with no follow up, is not going to get them very far - which is perfectly understandable.
They need more cases, and long term results, if they hope to achieve a sea change in diabetes management.
If, as you say, their protocol is so successful, then I find it astonishing that they have only got the two short case studies as examples, yet that is all their website shows.
No. I am afraid that I no am no longer interested in following conspiracy theories down the rabbit hole.Did you watch the video from the 1 hour 16 minute mark?

Only observation from my personal experience, is in 15 years since diagnosis I've become acquainted with only a handful of adult Type 1s worldwide and most of these were through my DAFNE course. I have never met any Type 1 outside LADA individuals that can exist medium term without insulin. As above, if you're a very rare exception, I'm really pleased for you, but kindly be cautious about suggesting that you have discovered a universal magic bullet for a complex autoimmune disease.Yes I do keep an emergency supply of insulin, both basal and bolus. I have 2 high saturated animal fat, medium protein, zero carb meals a day, I test my blood sugars 4 times a day. There are so many type I diabetics out there that I still keep in contact with that are still in remission and have been for years. I don't need carbs, I get all I need through the gluconeogenesis pathway.
I didn't discover a universal magic bullet, the credit goes to Paleomedicina and their Paleo Ketogenic Diet. They specialise in autoimmune diseases.Only observation from my personal experience, is in 15 years since diagnosis I've become acquainted with only a handful of adult Type 1s worldwide and most of these were through my DAFNE course. There have been responses in the past over the years on the Diabetes Forums but they are no longer posting, because of the backlash they received from other members. They don't seem to hang around for very long with all the negative remarks, misleading and false information they received and the unwanted advice that they never asked for. So the answer is "YES." I'll be hanging around though, unless my threads and posts are deleted and I'm silenced for telling the truth about the fact that many Type 1 diabetics are still in remission. Repeat a lie often enough saying type one's can not go into remission and people will start believing it, Oh hold on they already are believing it. The propaganda is still strong on these forums. The thread title is "
Are there any type 1 diabetics here in remission?"
No one other than Billy has responded in the affirmative . So I'm taking the answer as No.
I've been diagnosed several times by my diabetic consultant and diabetic team confirming that I'm type1 as you already know this. Type one is an autoimmune disease. The therapeutic protocol of Paleomedicina specialises in treating autoimmune diseases With its paleolithic ketogenic diet. This diet is the only diet that has put me put me into remission, NOT the low carb/keto diet. If I go back, even to low carb I have to start injecting again. This is why I "PERSONALLY" support and follow this way of eating. I do agree with you though there seems to be more successful accounts in the mainstream with type 2s........and I can also understand that some folk couldn't follow this way of eating for any length of time,, or even want to. I've ditched exogenous insulin because I no longer require to take any at this present time.Hi Billy,
I’ve seen the video. & remember the transcript you quote.
Before you start your support in this “message.” You need to enquire regarding your actual diagnosis…
Ditching exogenous insulin in favour of your way of eating. There seems to be more successful accounts in the mainstream with type 2s.
I’m going to offer you my best wishes. But if I were in your position, I’d be asking (& doing more tests on.) was this actually autoimmune on diagnosis. Or an undetected metabolic issue regarding insulin resistance, possibly climaxing with DKA?

I'm at the moment in "complete" remission, "not partial". I'm no longer taking any form of diabetes medication.I did manage to find this case study which also includes a brief literature review re T1 remission . At least partial remission after initial insulin treatment (I.e., LADA honeymoon) is apparently fairly common, complete remission is very much rarer, but has been documented -

I've had a lot of feed back by the way of private messages, which I'm keeping private. Your assumptions are correct about the push off and the backlash. I reckon the majority of them, both type 1's and type 2's realise their time in remission will not last for ever.........but that's just me assuming, which means absolutely nothing. The remission period can last for days or years, we're all different.I am assuming you are assuming they push off ".... because of the backlash they received from other members. They don't seem to hang around for very long with all the negative remarks, misleading and false information they received and the unwanted advice that they never asked for....."
Some might assume that either they are living happily ever after, without insulin or metabolic challenges, and others might assume their "remissions" came to an end one way or another. The reasons for their remissions ending could be needing insulin again, a modified diagnosis, death or even they fell off their dietary wagon.
Have you found any other threads on this forum discussing remission for T1s, with folks living their best remission? I only ask that specifically because this is considered one of the largest diabetes fora in the world.

I can't afford the paleomedicina tests or private UK medics fees. I became a member of the PKD group to find out all the information that I needed, including, the 2 week clinical program and the follow ups. Anyone can find this information out, it's there for all to see. I was tested at the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, a period from the end of December 2019 till the 3rd March 2020.Have you submitted to the tests outlined in the programme you link to?
I'd be curious to know the full cost of the 2 week programme, bearing in mind ".... Total fee of the 7-day clinical program (of which €2,500 is refundable if canceled in time)....".
Have you engaged with any of the UK medics who live LC or keto lifestyles?
