Are you a bit slow....................Satiety signal.

Do you use tinned peas? Just wondering how you strain liquid off frozen ones or dried marrowfats. ;)

I have to wait a long time to strain the frozen ones!!!! A patient with patience playing patience!!

Marrowfats tinned is my preference. I tend to balance with plenty of fats in my meals but on their own I got an increase of only 1.5 mmol a after 2 hours.

Don't like the taste of garden peas!! Yuk!!

Try steeping your own dried marrowfats. They work for me. You just have to remember to steep them before you go to bed the night before you want them!

Yes but that is from the US and therefore the 5 fiber grams can be deducted to give 9g which is what would appear as carbohydrates on a UK label .http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/calories-in-food/veg/Frozen-Peas.htm
(doesn't always work so exactly as different methods of analysis and variation in produce can give slightly different results)

The figures I showed indicated a total of 21 carbs and 7 of fibre. This means to me at least that the net carbs are 14.

Anyway I have a question for the English folks here, are MUSHY peas made from dried peas, from fresh peas or from either?

I make mine from dried marrowfat peas, which are steeped overnight with a pinch or 2 of bi-carb, then brought to the boil and simmered for ages until soft, but we put our steeped peas in a vacuum flask covered with off the boil water and leave them until soft, them, then re-heat. The secret is not to let them boil or they shell.
