Got really excited yesterday. Asda have brought out fat free Greek style yoghurt with honey or rather blended with honey sauce.
Info on packet:
Per 100g:
Carb:8.5
Per quarter tub:
Carb:9.6

Ate third of tub which looked about the size of a normal pot of yoghurt and hit 9.4!!!!!!
One for the kids :(
Normally wouldn't buy fat free but carb was a lot lower than normal and I really love this kind of yoghurt!

false carb label by the sound of it. 10g of carb wouldn't spike you like that. you have to love the marketing guys.

Well this is why I thought I'd give it a go. I really miss this type of yoghurt but I also love my fingers and toes so as my eldest says sad face times ten! Back to the old tapas style lunch then!

Have a look on lowcarbmegastore. I have their maple syrup sugar free, its gorg, and you only need a bit on yogurt. They have other flavours too. I actually buy Aldis Greek yogurt which is really creamy and not sour at all.

I'm naughty with 10% fat greek yogurt, as well as the frozen berries.... I use frozen mango pulp I get from the indian shop and normal fruit sugars apply but you don't need much
the other is pomegranate concentrate/syrup I get from the Lebanese shop, a teaspoon is enough and isn't high in carb @ 4g per teaspoon
I couldn't do without either of these

Shame about the yogurt I loved greek yogurt with honey but not any more. Just wondered what you had for a tapas type lunch I could really use some new ideas

I bought some Pomegranate Sour Sauce but I don't think it is the same as you have and the only recipe on the bottle is for a bulgar wheat salad and rice rolled in cabbage leaves but I really don't know what else to use it for it certainlycould not be used to sweeten yogurt it is very sour. I will look for the Pomegranate syrup though it sound good...a question as you go in a Lebanese shop do you ever have the Lebanese yogurt I have been tempted to try it but do not know if it is as good as Greek yogurt

I had similar experience with Onken yoghurt. Carbs look OK on label, only 4 items of detail though, and I spiked a couple of hours later. Won't be going there again. Shame 'cos it's great yogurt.

yep that's the stuff, called many names including molasses it doesn't sweeten the yogurt, neither does the indian frozen mango. It actually makes the yogurt taste sweet.
seeing you have a bottle, get your yogurt out and a table spoon of yogurt and 1/2 a teaspoon of syrup next to it for a start. a teaspoon of yogurt with a just a smidge of syrup and increase from there to your taste

I have the Fage Total plain full fat Greek Yogurt. 4 carbs per 100g. Delicious with a few berries added. I have it for breakfast and also as a dessert some days.

Olives, pieces of cheese, mini sausages, bits of chicken any kind of anti pasti you like. All the supermarkets sell them, as do M&S!

Anyone tried sweet freedom , I can't work out the carbs though, and they do,choc shot and well , all three say suitable for db diet....
I have a little bit now and again , and ages ago I made some flapjacks with it , which were not to bad as a treat ;)
This information may not appeal to everyone , but I am fine with it .....Kat x

( plain yogurt made me remember it)

Recepies for using sweet freedom are on there...

It is apple based , a light and dark plastic bottle, looks like maple syrup....
And choc shot has just been launched....for db diet as well...

Holland and b sell it along with morrisons and waitrose....
It says suitable for db diet in moderation ....
I could never work the carbs out though...but I am find with it
And my porridge likes a little bit of it
