Sorry you have lost me! What is CCG?

I live in Herne Bay in Kent and the health authority here are not giving out any pumps at all even if you are deemed to need one! I was assessed about a year ago and told that I passes all the criteria however there was NO waiting list! It was only then that my Dr at Kent and Canterbury Hospital had to refer me to Kings on London 65 miles away. Thankfully it doesn't seem a problem getting one there. Seems to be a postcode lottery ! I am just very thankful I have noŵ got a date.

That isn't a CCG payment problem. As your CCG for your area have to pay for the pumps no matter which hospital you go to... The bill for the pump and equipment will land back at the CCG where you live.

This is down to the hospital where you were not managing their budget, being short sighted and actually going against the NICE guidelines.

If I had been you I would have sent a letter to the CQC that inspects hospitals for patient care.

Contact INPUT. They will give the hospital a stern talking-to.

I was waiting over 2 years and then got INPUT involved they spoke to my specialist nurse team .The nurses didn't like this and phone me to ask who was INPUT and why did i get them involved.
i explained that no one was doing anything about getting me my pump. i still didn't get a real answer but later found out that there was nobody who could give me pump training in my local health authority .and i have now been sent to another health authority about 20 miles away until they can get another pump trainer and center setup nearer me.

Starting saline trail Tuesday 17 march
cant wait

Hi i also have just been given a date for starting my pump 9th april. i can not wait been asking for two years for a pump and the only reason they have finally agreed is because i am going to start trying for a baby soon. i am excited and nervous all at the same time. the pump is being delivered to my house does any one know how long this normally takes after its ordered?
