Just contacted Lifescan to ask for a replacement battery for my meter and they said the meter has been discontinued due to a fault. A product recall is in place.
If you contact them they will send you a Onetouch Ultra II free of charge to replace your (possibly) faulty Onetouch original meter.
Takes the same strips, so no need to change your prescription.
