Hi there,
Haven't posted on here for a while as all has been managed OK. Just been told that after only 6 years of LADA I now have the above additional medical condition. I already have several other autoimmune conditions.
Can anyone advise me of prognosis (for them ) and possible progression indications.

Hi Alan .. not sure i can advise or even help .

Question is this motor control.... ie gait or balance issues?

Mine is heriditary and is different to your title in the thread.

This is both motor control and sensory (feeling) - not inherited. developed as result of diabetes LADA.

Id keep an open mind.... to the cause just in case....


Have you been tested for celiacs?

There is 2 AB that cause the same thing as you discribe..... your gp probably hasnt even heard of it.

The above article shows an association, not causation, between painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy and lower Vit D levels. Although I don’t have the neuropathy, my grandmother had painful and my father had painless diabetic neuropathy. So, I try to take a Vit D supplement daily. Can’t hurt, since I am not a sun worshiper.
Something to look into.
