Hi,

Can anyone tell me what B12 is please. My mum has been told she needs an injection for this. Will this be ongoing injections? What symptoms are there for this. Thanks

As I understand it Metformin can reduce the B12 vitamin in your body. I bought B12 oral supplement and take a tablet daily as a safe guard.

Thanks, she has had her Metformin reduced I guess because of this. So will just the injection be enough to correct this. She’s like my and won’t take supplements/vitamins or that sort of thing. She’s also finding since reducing metformin her sugars have gone up.

Hi, I have the injections but not on Metformin. I’m unable to absorb B12 in tablet form so I’ve had a series of injections, 2 a week for 3 weeks and now just one dose every 3 months. Feel much better for it. Hope this helps.
