Back Pain

I have a lot of pain in my back between my shoulder blades in the morning when I wake up, it gets less painfull as the day goes by, but is back with a vengeance the next morning. I find it gets worse when my BG levels are not managed very well, it also seems to get worse when I take statins, I try to lay off statins until my cholesterol creeps up and its noticeably the pain increases when I start taking them again. I can't find any posts about this and would be interested to here anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

Pretty bizarre symptoms there Pierre. If it was me I'd have a chat with the doctor to get to the bottom of it.

Not unusual with statins.
Best to get your HDL up and Trigs down with low carb good fats diet then LDL not so relevant.
Also cut Omega 6 oils and increase oils from fish Omega 3, that stops inflammation.
CoQ10 supplement helps with statins.

Welcome to the forum.
Upper back pain can be caused by many things and a GP is your best starting point. It could be sleeping posture, it could be stress, it could be . . . . .
Statins? I stopped taking them because of the years of muscle pain in my legs and thighs, although personally, never between the shoulders. That's not to say it doesn't happen, statins prevent the uptake of CoQ10 which is required by the muscles, hence the muscle pain when you take statins. It doesn't affect everyone the same way and you obviously have muscles in the back as much as anywhere else.

If you want another way of lowering cholesterol, mine dropped dramatically when I lowered my carb intake, so another drug was ditched for good.
