An awful lot.
l have an odd grrrr at wording not just here but all over, the words "weigh loss"

The use of the word weight it needs to be changed to the word fat and stuff the pc brigade.

l nearly gave up my fat loss a week ago l was loosing "weight" really well went from 105kg to 89kg....then l went up 2kg.

Now up to now it had never affected me just a number but l have not been at 89kg for l recon nigh on 20yrs. l hit a major upset was almost in tears.

Only one thing helped me my PT takes my fat scale with calipers. l know l am loosing my fat my clothes need safety pins but the scales give a WEIGHT

l like many had heard excercise and loose weight. Sometimes people said you put on muscle and it weighs more than fat but l didnt take it in.
l was so disheartened to find l had gained weight despite my obvios loss l was on the verge of giving up

If Ste had not taken my measures of fat and we recorded them then like so many l was convinced l had failed.

The result is in 8 weeks at the end of a challenge my PT is holding l shall weigh but not get told it.
Unless weight is needed for meds l am not geting on scales again. l will only allow caliper measures....l startedwith them but a tape measure can be used.

The term should always be "FAT LOSS" telling people to excercise and loose weight is totally wrong and l now understand why people give up and say whats the use.

My advise kick the scales apart from if you wish occasionaly.
et someone else to record it and dont look
Use tape measures on yourself
Keep a record of date and measure

Thanks Christine it has really got to me the wording

If they do what they said then the 2 people who took the Desmond course will speak to the head office about it.

l think it is about time things were explained properly and clearly and all places need to change it to fat loss and how it works properly and quit weighing start measuring.

That explanation appeals to my logic but I am underweight so do I need to gain weight or fat ? I can gain muscle but some of the places I want to be bigger have no muscles !!!!

Carol on a note sideways to the main discussion l would say muscle you know fat causes problems, but what's the reason for wanting bigger areas is it health or just want it? My tuppence worth would be go see a local personal trainer and get their advice. Usually a consultation with them is free.
And don't forget from what l understand that often people who are skinny have fat packed round their organs... need a scan to find it but risk is still there.
