Hello all

I had an appointment with a specialist today and am going to change my basal insulin to see if that helps with my sugar readings in the evenings. I'm currently using Levemir but will soon be changing over to Basaglar as apparently that lasts longer than Levemir. I was just wondering if anyone has recently swapped to Basaglar and whether you've noticed an improvement with it?

Thanks

Melissa

Never heard of this...

If the Levemir isn't lasting should you not split it......or has this happened already....

Basaglar is an Eli Lilly biosimilar of Insulin Glargine, which we know as Lantus. It should act the same way. Due to Glargine being off patent now, lilly are basically producing a cheaper version.
