Basal Bolus

And the event horizon takes me into the past where grass fed low carb joint oil is more prevalent. I might set up a trade post !
At least I should not encounter the Peaky Blinders and should escape the frowning looks of Poldark.
I am on guard against past Edwardian 'morality' also.
I know i will not be able to escape your scrying, but I could hand out pamphlets advertising your omnipotence!?

And may energies shine on you from a million suns...........

Such is the worthlessness of my existence due to being surrounded by towering intellects this thread has turned into something I couldn't possibly have foreseen.......

To talk of basal/bolus now would be elevating futility to a fine art......so I shan't

But in the interests of world peace I offer an explanation for the ladies in our midst:
The basal is like a slightly wobbly straight stitch from a sewing machine, relatively flat. _ _ _ _
The bolus is like one up and down zigzag periodically _ _ _^_ _ _ _ _ ^_ etc.

And for blokes who sew?
Basal is the chain stitch, bolus an occasional flowery satinstitch with a few French knots for good measure.

Fighter kites are the means but their main weapon, manja (the cutting line), has been banned. But please see the post about the ladies first !!

I met a lovely group of Afghan flying kites down by a local beach (don’t worry, they sent them out over a very rocky breakwater) and they proudly showed the cut glass on the string. And yes, they said, they did cut themselves on it.

I’ve had to train myself to think of basal and bolus, much prefer long-acting and short-acting!

Sadly there have been injuries and fatalities from the cutting line being caught up in revolving tyres etc. So with short and long-acting insulin does that mean that you can only eat short soup with shorting acting insulin and long soup with long-acting?
