Should be predictable though.
High sugar, lots of sweet stuff, cakes, bad starches, low fat, lots of weight gain.
High fat, no carbs, weight loss.

It would be better if it wasn't extreme, I'll wait in hope.

A few years ago Horizon had a programme where one twin ate an Atkins type diet and one a lower fat diet and measured calories in and out with a metabolic chamber. From memory though they only did it for a day.
I think this is it on youtube but it's got 5 parts so I haven't checked.

Oops I only wanted the link but it's put the first part up!

If they only did it for a day would not give a sensible result, it takes several days of ultra low carbs to achieve ketosis without which it does not work very well.

Never doubted the Atkin's type diet works, and I've certainly been proof of a diet of donuts for putting on weight!
(What we really need is a third sibling, on a portion controlled balanced plate ;))

Atkins type diets and carbs have been done before though, every test needs a control subject.
Be interesting to see how the eatwell plate compares to both ends of the scale.
Still be interesting with just the two, but then again, I do know from experience how bad excess of cakes and biscuits are!
