Not a facebook user Bill but I am sure it is a beautiful place to live, do they still have Radio Luxembourg :wink:
 
No, N, the old Radio Luxembourg on 208 metres medium wave no longer exists. Its primary purpose was to bring advertising to broadcasts receivable in the UK. The BBC at that time was very stuffy and wouldn't even allow any performer who had performed on Radio Lux to appear on their programmes. RTL is now the name for the broadcasting organisation that used to put out Radio Lux. It now broadcasts in German, French and Luxembourgish, aiming their programmes and advertising at each particular language group.
I think you may have got the wrong idea about youtube as it is not a social networking site but a video archive where you can discover all kinds of performers, from Wilson, Keppel and Betty to Eric Delaney. Give it a try, you will probably enjoy it.

I think some crossed wires here Bill, the link you posted is to Facebook not Youtube :P
 
Yes, Sid, you're absolutely right. My God, age marches on and it's marching all over my memory. Ignore the URL I gave in my first post and go to http://www.youtube.com and enter the phrase "Life in Luxembourg" in the search box on the site. Thanks for that, Sid, and apologies to Noblehead and to anyone else I misdirected. In any case, it's about five minutes of film well worth watching. :oops:
