Hi all

My endo (for another condition) asked me to follow a no dairy, no grain (with the exception of rice) diet. This is going quite well in general and in many ways is similar to Bernstein (except I am allowed about 4 new potatos or a small amount of rice with my dinner).

The difficulty I'm having is coming up with ideas for a decent bed time snack. I'm on basal bolus so I know this isn't essential but my bedtime reading is often around 5 and I prefer to eat something to stop me going low.

All bedtime snack ideas from the NHS seem to involve eating dairy (cheese, milkshake, milk, ice cream) or bread (sandwich, toast). Obviously these are off limits.

For the last two weeks I've eaten a piece of turkey/ham on two rice cakes but I'm getting a bit tired of this. I substituted eggs for the meat on a couple of occassions but this didn't sit too well on my stomach. Any ideas?

Soya yoghurt ... now there's something I can eat. Didn't know about that but will look out for it now.
So boring being dairy intolerent as I used to like my yoghurts but now I can go back to them. Thanks everyone. Suzil :D

Natural Greek yoghurt?? with low carb sweetener.

Nuts! and what's wrong with mentioning Macanuts Trink ;) - did you think I'd smell them?
