Hi all,
There seems to be mounting evidence that Berberine can be helpful in managing blood sugar.
Does anyone have any experience of it and if so is there a reputable supplement?
It’s interesting that supplement manufacturers are legally allowed to rate and receive their own products without letting on who they are.
“Clinical Reviews” are owned by a supplement manufacturing company.
It’s really hard to get genuine advice.
Cheers Nick

I take it and I don't know what it would do on its own, as I follow a keto diet, and my BG has been at non-diabetic levels since I started - but I don't think the Berberine on its own would be man enough to compensate for a diet high in sugar and carbs. I can't recommend a company on here because it would conflict with Forum rules, but the one I use is based in Ireland and it's selling point is that it is free from additives. I use a lot of their products and find them ver good quality.

Thank you. I’m following a sensible, healthy is h diet but I’m always looking for a little extra help.
Bloods have been stable at 52 for 18 months, down from 118!

Outlier - you can recommend a company that you use. I often recommend SRSLY for some of their bread substitutes, for example.

What you can't do on the forum is recommend or promote a company in which you or a friend or relative has any actual or potential financial interest.

On berberine - no personal knowledge. This question pops up regularly and there will be older threads on the fporum along the same lines. I don't recall any clear conclusion either way.

I'll let you know after my next test at the end of this month. I've been taking a low dose, I've also been testing a low Creatine dose(5mg) on anecdotal evidence

Thank you. The company is called British Supplements, and they are free from fillers and additives. A bit more pricey than some, but you get what you pay for. Their customer service is great. I buy a lot of supplements from them. Highly recommended.
