Best LCHF lunch options on the high street?

I always go for salami, ham, cheese, olives and pickles. I create mini board with some veggies and its the best lunch ever:)
If you have any polish shop nearby go and ask for kabanos (thin, dried sausages) which are delicious
Yes yes yes!

Best option for food on the go is salads with fatty dressings. Subway can still provide these, just avoid the sweet dressings.

Coffee with a generous helping of unsweetened whipping/ double cream (served in all coffee shops) is great if your in a rush.

Alternatively you could eat a bigger breakfast and skip lunch, or take a prepared lunch (walnuts/almonds/cheeses/ sliced meats).

I love your AVVY!!!:p:p:p:cool:

Little story about that tin .... when I was four or five years old there was always a tin of it in the pantry.
Was used in porridge more than anything.
I used to look at the picture of the lion and wonder why it was lying down.
Was it hot?
Was It ill?
Was it dead?
A little later on in life and I'd learned to read and saw that it said ....from strength came forth sweetness.
Ahhh so syrup is made of lions and thats why you can see flies buzzing around it on the picture.
Lions were melted in the desert into syrup or something close to that I just knew it.
The flies were attracted by the syrup of course .....

The lion and quote are actually a biblical reference.
Samson killed a lion, bees nested in it and made honey.

Haven't eaten golden syrup for ages - and won't in the future. 30 years ago I figured that it was more than my metabolism could deal with.
Life is more than syrup though.

Also I don't know ANY coffee shops where one can have cream in ordinary coffee. I sometimes think of carrying my own little carton, as coffee with cream is so delish and so sustaining.

Why not? Just ask for it. I get a black coffee (an "American" I think it is called here ;) ), and ask for cream on the side.

Starbucks will now do coffee with "pouring cream" which is single cream. Not ideal, but better than nothing.

Regarding my avatar... I just felt it represented the ultimate can't have.

Goes brilliant with porridge... I miss it... My BGs don't!

The lion could almost be symbolic of diabetic after too much of the tin's contents.... :)

In the UK weatherspoons and Toby carvery are great. Most pubs are great as they will aways swap chips for salad. Coffee shops I now avoid, no suitable food at all, except pret a manger who always have salads and say all food is natural no preservatives. Subway also do salads.

I never go in these modern coffee shops .... ever.
I always look around for family run type cafes.
I went in a Costa lot when they first appeared .... it Costa lot.
I tried Starbucks .... not impressed.
Give me a greasy spoon any day.

I have come across a couple of decent Weatherspoons.
Best one in a small town called Ruthin.
Beautiful old building nice cooked breakfasts very nice interior cheerful helpful staff and loads of wide open space inside.

Coffee shops seem to be be mostly only good for moderately expensive coffee.
