Hi

Im New to bringing my levels down.

I hate the prick test in mornings. Iv seen adverts for a watch that measure your bg? Is this correct? I already have a Samsung smart watch suppose I could use that but I'm amazed at how it can measure it just via the skin, and is it even reliable?

Thank u

From what others have said on the forum I would say they are very unreliable , I would guess you'll soon get some replies to your post .

Hi. There are existing threads on this subject on the forum, but here's a summary. I have no personal experience of "watch measurements" myself.

Two different "watch" systems. One is where you use a constant glucose monitor, and the watch picks up the signals sent from the monitor. The watch itself doesn't do any measuring or monitoring, it's just the display, as it would be if the signal went to your phone. This seems to work well enough, according to other people's accounts.

The other system is a watch that claims to measure BG on its own. It doesn't directly measure BG (that is, it doesn't take blood) but it seems to attempt to estimate BG levels from sweat. This doesn't appear to work well at all, and the consensus is that you're wasting your money.

I agree with the previous replies.
Here's a thread with some more information if you like to read up about it: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/th...r-monitoring-watch.199820/page-2#post-2648047
