I have been seeing this pattern for a few weeks: whenever I go to bed my blood sugar starts rising. After about 2 hours it starts going down slowly (I use the Dexcom). The rise is by about one to two mmol.
My pancreas still produces some insulin. So my theory is that after going to bed the pancreas relaxes and my blood sugar goes up.
Yesterday I got a pen that supports 0.5 units and I'm thinking I will bolus 0.5 before going to bed. Any comments?
