Don't know if anyone has posted about this already, but diabetes.co.uk have been running a BG selfie campaign on Facebook. You post a photo of you and your BG to their page and then donate to JDRF by text. Much like the "makeup less selfie" campaign and the less charming "c*ck in a sock" campaign that my delightful brother in law was keen to get involved with!

Anyone else taken part in the BG selfie? They're all full of good BGs, I waited until mine came down from 9!!

Sound great and a good cause too :)

Looking through the pictures, it's pretty heartbreaking to see all the little kids on there, bless 'em. :(

Sounds like a great idea!

Won't be taking part though, don't have Facebook :(

Glad you're all enjoying the BG selfies! We really think it's a great way to raise awareness. In fact, it's been a really big eye-opener for everyone, with or without diabetes. We got a tweet yesterday from a girl who's selfie actually helped her out a massive amount. Her BG was incredibly high and she wasn't planning on testing until she went to take a selfie. It's even encouraged some people to start testing their levels again when they had previously stopped.

If anyone else wants to join in, drop us a message or post on our timeline at https://www.facebook.com/Diabetes.co.uk and we'll re-post your picture as soon as we can :D

Did mine showing my CGM as well as my Monitor - I couldnt do anything too exciting as i was in work :)

My only issue with the BG selfie is that non diabetics obviously won't take part, so it limits the sum of money to be raised :(

That said, I like that it's put a "face" to the condition!

I think it's been a great way to jump on the band wagon of the Makeupless Selfie campaign. Full credit to DCUK, I bet LOADS of money has been raised for the JDRF. Great idea, well done.

@Giverny any idea how much money has been raised so fad?
