My eating disorder is now affecting my health. I have know for a long time that diets don't work for me. I lose weight well on them but I always regain afterwards and more in top.
I am 50 now and am well aware that I eat for a number of reasons such as stress, distracting myself and to escape from the world for a while.
My latest blood results show that I am in the Prediabetes category and that I need to take action now to stop my body from developing full diabetes.
I am looking at trying a low carb high fat eating plan as I have heard good reports of it. I believe in Scandanavia it is increasingly popular as a way of preventing the development of full diabetes.
Although I don't eat a great deal of pure sugar I do have a carb heavy diet and it's no surprise that those are the foods I choose to binge on as well.
For sweet flavours I tend to use Diet Coke and the diet cordial drinks. I am hoping to replace both with sparkling water.
The blood results have scared me and I want to do something now.
