Bit worried...

I started taking statins two weeks ago and the last three nights (around 3-4) in the morning I'm waking up with terrible pain and the bottom of my ribs on my right hand side :( it's horrible.

Has anyone had this side effect on statins or do you think it could be something else completely unrelated??

I've had no problems with statins but if I did I'd call doctors just to be safe. Probably unrelated but you never know.

I have been taken off statins due to all sorts of bother but I never had that pain you describe. What I suggest is that you take the bit of paper out of the box of pills and study the list of possible side effects. If you find anything that sounds like it then contact your nurse or GP.
