Messaged him on FB and he answered right back - he puts oats in. So that's that.Ask your butcher what he puts in it - I did many years ago get some from a butcher that had no oats and nice square lumps of fat - not local to me, was on holiday but was a treat whilst it lasted.
I do, very occasionally. There are oats - I think the 13g to 15g is correct - so it's not something I do often. A lot depends on what else I'm going to eat that day.IS it possible carb-wise to have a slice or two of black pud with bacon & eggs?
That was the problem, we get our meat etc from local butcher and there are no labels, just slices.Unfortunatdly Black pudding is very variable. Some has lots of oatmeal in, some doesn't have much. Stornoway black pudding is high on oats. All you can do is read the nutritional information in the supermarket
Stornoway bp is fabulous, pity it's so high in carbs. Maybe for his xmas brekkie treatI do, very occasionally. There are oats - I think the 13g to 15g is correct - so it's not something I do often. A lot depends on what else I'm going to eat that day.
I had some on Saturday: Stornoway black pudding, it was really good. Not sure when the time before was. My best advice is to try some, and test before and two hours after and see what it does.
