Bleeding when injecting

Been on Byetta for 2 and half years, doctor changed me yesterday to Victoza. Both injections of Victoza have drawn blood from my stomach where injecting it. I have injected Byetta with no problems at all in my stomach over 30 months, so why is injecting Victoza causing bleeding in the stomach after injections? Am going to try and get in to see my diabetes nurse or doctor this week if it carries on over the next 2 or 3 injections. I'm on 0.6mg to start with then going up to 1.2mg after a week, if that helps.

Thanks.

Hi. I assume each drug comes with it's own needles; I may be wrong? Are they the same length and gauge? I use 4mm needles with my insulin as I'm quite thin. Is it possible to choose different size needles for your drugs?

I use the same drug as you and i dont have any problems ,sorry to here you are .I have found this drug Victoza a great help i love it has worked so well for me I do hope it works for you the same ,Good luck .

Using same needles, GP said they would work as I used them for my Byetta. Am going to see how I get on with it for next few days, if not will go and see my diabetic nurse at GP surgery to see what she says.
