Can anyone tell me why a recent post on excercise was 'Blocked'?
I know that low carbing is not the forum's philosophy, or that certain people are receiving royalties from Bernstein, but it sure looks that way.
I thought that we had freedom of speech?

I started the thread because of typos in the carb recommendations for exercise, & reported my own posting to the moderators. 1530 g carb with the next meal. The inaccuracies have been noted & the thread locked. Nothing sinister.

Thank you Ian,

The thread wasn't about exercise, it pointed out an error in some of the web site's material, I don't believe I saw anyone criticising Bernstein or low carbers in that thread or for that matter, Santa Claus. Subsequent posts would not have clarified anything. Errrm, what's the problem?

Regards, Tubs.

I believe the reason for closing that thread were clearly stated at the end of that thread. However,to reiterate, the thread was started by Ian to highlight inaccuracies in the main pages,Admin was informed and therefore the thread had served it's purpose and was therefore closed. If you wish to start a proper thread on exercise please feel free.
It is my job and the rest of the moderators to keep the forum and the threads running smoothly,if that means closing threads that have served their purpose then that is what we do.The same is true for closing threads that have gone completely off topic or have become 'flame wars'.
Freedom of speech,Eddie ,is very much a part of this forum, much more so than on many internet forums. The freedom of speech however must be appropriate for the subject of the thread otherwise the whole thing descends into anarchy. That's my job,a pretty thankless task, unless the members cooperate in the smooth running of the forum.
