If you have T2 and are healthy (apart from D) & not on insulin & live within traveling distance of Birmingham (UK) Neqas are looking for more people to donate a "pint" of blood that will be used to quality check the labs that do HbA1c levels. The "pint" is divided into a huge number (300 I think!) of samples and sent to the labs to test.
I donate about twice a year - on a Monday morning - the centre is about 10 mins walk for New Street Station - they pay travel expenses and car park (have to use a specific one) if you drive in.
