Something has been niggling me for months, so wanted to gauge what a consensus others have.

What do you consider a normal fasting, pre-meal, and maximal rise in blood glucose reading in your opinion. We can see what the range is on this site, but what is your view as an average.

No judgement, but I would like to know if my view should be adjusted, as often I see numbers reported in threads which do not sit well with me.

My average FBG for 2019- 2020 so far has been 5 mmol/l
I like to be between 4.5 and 5.5 most of the time which I usually succeed with.
Odd excursions towards 6 are very rare for me these days.

Back when I did eat Breakfast (always boiled eggs alone) my FBG was higher than my BG 2hrs after.
since i stopped being hungry until lunchtime, my FBG really hasn't changed, but since I do eat some carbs at lunch, the BG 2hrs after can be up to 1.5mmol higher than the FBG, though never more than 7.8.
I don't often measure my FBG, but it doesn't seem to have changed much if at all: still between 5.8 and 6.5 mmol
