As you know, as diabetics it is reccomended to perform blood glucose testing regularly. Speaking for myself, I try at least 4 daily minimum and sometimes aim for much more depending on what's up with my life.

The problem is that my fingertips don't seem to receive it well. After many years, my fingertips have many marks. Let's just say it does not look very nice.

How do other diabetics handle this issue which looks minor but over time can become quite a major thing?

Lancet settings, all fingers, rotation of same when you test, move the area to the left and right of each figer (NEVER on the tip) clean them before and after, warm them under water in your cold weather ....

I use Accu Check Smart clix Setting 2.5 use the sides of my Fingers I use 3 fingers on each hand ( excludes. Little finger.) I test three times a day and use 1 finger per day this way I prick right side then left then middle About level of bottom of nail this means I use I use 1 finger every six days this is normally ok for the first finger to heal even so I try and choose a slightly different spot on the finger to prick I have been doing this for over 15 years without any problems hold the clicker against the Skin but not presse down or the needle may hurt more and go deeper and take longer to heal
