blood glucose under control

At what point can you safely say your bg is under control, and feel that you should ask doctor to take you off metformin?
 
Anytime, if you trust your doctor to put your well-being before his Practice running costs. He can always recommend you stay on them, but the cost of the drugs over a year might encourage him to think of his practice costs first. Wish I could envisage an end day in sight! Ah well!
 
Do what I did and ask him.

I want to reduce my Glic and asked him straight out ... where do I have to be before you reduce the Glic
