Since I had a hypo last Thursday morning, my pre meal levels have been between 4.3 and 5. Post meals between 5.9 and the occasional 8 depending on what I have eaten. Are the pre meal results too low.up. Prior the hypo my pre med results were normally around 5.9 to 6.3. I am not eating anything different

For me those numbers would be perfect - you are doing so well @ally1 - how do you feel at the lower numbers? If it's right before your meals and you feel fine I wouldn't worry about them - seems you've finally cracked it!

That's where I am all the time, it's where I live with great energy and no symptoms.
That's brilliant numbers, well done!

Hi @ally1
I like it when my pre meal numbers are under 5. Sometimes but that is what I'm aiming for. You seem to be doing really well so as long as you feel find I would suggest keep going. Obviously if you feel funny (like hypo) then you would need to contact your doctor or nurse.

I am over the moon when I see 4s which I do sometimes before evening meal. As long as you feel well there is no problem (and you are about to eat anyway). Those are excellent readings. I sense from your posts you are stressing about them following your hypo scare the other day. I wouldn't be stressing, I would be dancing round the room. :)

Thank you. I am wary that I might go hyper again but I am pleased. At times I have felt a bit light hwaded

Ally, I can appreciate you would be nervous of having another scary hypo. Anybody would be, but those numbers are fabulous, and now you know what brings on the 8s you can decide what, if anything you're going to do about those.

To be honest, what I would do would be to keep testing, as you have been and if you don't already, write them down or they'll be in your meter, I guess. If you're feeling a bit wobbly too often for comfort, I would want to talk to my nurse about it. Personally, I would want to discuss whether it might be possible to trim the meds back, just a touch, for a trial period, then review again.

I'm thinking though, aside from the horrid hypo, that you must be thrilled how things are working for you now. Yet again, a big well done!

Thank you. I,m over the moon with my low results. I know what spiked me to be 8. I did ring the surgery to see my dn nurse. She only works Wednesdays and Fridays. She is fully booked for friday and then she's on holiday for the next 2 weeks.

Good girl, Ally. The crazy thing is that the horrid feeling is a sign you're doing incredibly well.

Are you going to have a chat with the nurse about maybe shaving back the meds a little?

Yes I will as I think now I am taking too much victoza and metfformin

This one I was 3.5
I think you must have a word with your DSN, your meds needs adjusting .. I was only on the metformin, and it was stopped when I got my bs under control .. Well done for taking control and sorting out your bs :)
