Hello,
I've recently had my medication changed from Gliclazide 80mg tablets to Gliclazide 30mg tablets. My Doctor has asked me to monitor my blood sugar levels throughout the day and I'm to take my meds in accordance with my sugar levels. He advised me that the tablets I'm now on I can take up to four tablets in a day.
What I would like to know is when is the best time in the day to do a finger prick test and what sort of readings I should be looking for so I know whether to up or down my meds. I'm not entirely sure either how I should be taking my meds. That sounds so bad, I was listening when the Doctor told me, but we were also discussing the fact that I have high cholesterol and high triglycerides at the same time and was a bit daunted by all the health implications that seem to have just been dumped on me recently.
Your response would be very much appreciated!
Becky
