No exercise at latr night next morning blood sugar levels 6.9. I am obese. Bmi 34.5. Age 48.
Can someone share why is that so?

the difference between 5.1 and 6.9 isn't much, at least in the blood glucose monitoring sense....

there could be many uncontrollable variables that are responsible to be honest......

its clear being active produces better levels, activity will decrease insulin sensitive and my crude understanding is that when you use your muscles they use up their own stores of energy, which will be restocked in the hours following exercise, this stock will come from the blood stream, which in turn will lower the BG levels.........much more obvious effects in one with no insulin production....

Mr.Singh-

Wondering what is your A1C ? Morning blood sugar is always high due to release of Growth Hormones by Liver between 2 to 5 PM.In non diabetics it is not an issue since their pancreas adjust the release of Insulin. This is kind of Dawn Phenomenon. If you exercise as soon you are out of bed your blood sugar will go higher as it a reactive hypoglycemia hence you have to take your breakfast or Tea & wait for another two-three hours & exercise & your blood sugar will be lower in compare to Fasting Blood Sugar level. Hope this will help you deal further.
