Hi, I have just collected a form from my doctor's surgery for my routine HbA1c blood test. I have noticed that a tick has been put next to UE - Electrolytes. I don't know why this has been ticked. I am a LCHF diet and exercise controlled Type 2 diabetic. I feel really well and have only visited my doctor this year about my diabetic diagnosis and related tests, all of which were fine. Any ideas/ advice?

Think it may just be standard test related to kidney function....nothing to worry about I am sure...

The more tests the better...;)

Be good to see if you have any electrolyte issues then they can be addressed with some supplements if required.

Agree with the others. It is part of the routine bloods we have. Not because we are diabetic. Everyone having full bloods taken will get them.
