Blood testing - mml conversion chart??

Hi, I am sure I should be able to find a chart for this somewhere but not totally sure what I am looking for!! I know how to convert mml readings to the average Hb etc however, how do you convert the mml (for example; 8.7mml) to the other figure? I have recently seen posters using alternative figures to the mml but not sure what they are. Is it the mg/dl chart I am looking for?

Hi Geoff, yes, BS levels. Thank you - that must be the one I was looking for. And I should have been able to find it as I know the Hb conversion is on this site. Is the Mg/dl a new set of figures (used in USA?) now used in the UK? I had an Hb last month and the DSN didn't mention it.

Mg/dl is how they measure BS levels in the US. This is unconnected to new HbA1c figures.

Historically there have been two ways of expressing HbA1c. This has now been standardised world-wide to a reading expressed in mmol/mol.
