Hi, new here and T! but this is not a diabetes question, just me being a worry wart!
I went for my last clinic review on 30th Apr and I asked if I could have an FBC done as well at vitamin profiles, etc, as I'd been feeling a bit tired lately. They had loads of trouble getting blood out of me and the whole process was delayed. They finally got a sample but I wasn't able to be told my A1c on the day due to my veins not co-operating.
I always get very anxious getting bloods done but when I'd heard nothing after a week, I assumed all must be OK (obvs still didn't know my A1c either)
Just on my phone to GP receptionist now about my prescription and asked her about my test results (now 6 weeks later), but nothing at all had been sent through from my last appointment at clinic.
I phoned clinic and spoke to the consultant's secretary, who said that the letter for my GP was here with all the details of my last appointment (dictated and written up on 13th May), but had not been faxed through to GP yet!
Annoyed about this so I asked if she could just tell me results now but she said she couldn't and she needed to check with the consultant first.
I tend to suffer with health anxiety and just wondered if it's taken this long to process my last appointment and blood results, would this generally mean there is nothing of note on the blood results?
I just didn't get how this was all still sitting there in the secretary's office over month later and had not been sent to my GP. I just feel a bit sickly now waiting for her to call me back. If something showed up on them, would the clinic have got in touch with me straight away?
Thanks.
