Thank you, just had a lunch, thought i was going to pass out, will buy some dextrose tablets today as i am driving a long way on monday morning. Its a low reading for sure and heading for a hypo if not corrected , drink some orange juice or Lucozade, eat something as soon as possible too . My husband had several hypo when he was taking glicazide , I used to keep jelly babies in the house , three or four of them usually had his blood sugar sorted quickly . Hope you are alright, if it goes any lower or if you cant get it higher , ring your doctor please .
This could either be a false hypo or the start of a hypo. Your body is warning you with those symptoms to eat something, enough to ease your blood glucose levels up. At that level, I would have a plain biscuit and a cup of black tea. To ease my levels up. Then I would have a low carb meal.Banging headche, jittery, 4 hours after meds so i checked bloods and got 4.3, lowest i have ever been, is this ok ?? metformin and glicazide.
Have you considered that your meter is having a nervous breakdown? I have had a reading of 10 plus, which I couldn't believe, then did another test immediately and the level had dropped by 1 - 1.5mmol. This was using a different finger and squeezing gently. I came to the conclusion that my bg level was constant no matter which finger I used, it was the meter that was playing silly bu**ers. They do have an accuracy failure of between + or - 15% to 20%.
