so, can I ask for some help.

This has happened a few times. BM at bedtime is 4.8 and then fasting in morning is 6.7 (just quoting last nights readings).

I know about the glucose dump if BM too low if I miss a hypo and wonder if this is what is causing it or Dawn Phenomenon...

Just seems like quite a difference between readings. Should I be concerned?

Type 2 on Glucophage, Gliclazide and Empagliflozin....

Any help very welcome!!

the dawn phenomenon isn't a condition that only happens to some people if you know what I mean....

because you have been sleeping and fasting for a good while, the body needs fuel to get up, in the absence of anything quickly accesses from the gut.....so as well as the energy the liver provides [in varying quantities depending on the person and their diet, even if you haven't went low...] there are other hormones released which will increase insulin resistance....

so I wouldn't worry at all at those readings you posted....;)

All of that makes perfect sense....thanks for taking the time to reply!!!
