Maybe some herbal teas, I like strong hibiscus tea, peppermint tea etc. Decaffeinated coffee, regular coffee sometimes with some cardamon. There are many possibilities.
Artificial sweeteners have been around for years. Every so often a scare story is resurrected about them. Just choose which SF free drink you want and use it. It's not as if you are going to drink an ocean full of the stuff is it I've used artificial sweeteners for almost 50 years with no problem.
Try sparkling water with some fruit juice, or you could always try diluting a fizzy drink with sparkling water. For me sweetened drinks caused me hell and when I quit the addiction it was one of the worst experiences that I had to go through, but now I'm glad I did it and have stayed off sweetened drinks for 2 months now. I reward myself each weekend by buying a 250 ml can of Coca Cola and diluting it with sparkling water.
Generally the No Added Sugar/Sugar Free Squash drinks have a blue top on the bottle, I like the Robinson's Squash range and particularly their Orange & Mango flavoured one.
Also, try drinking Green Tea, its nice and refreshing and is good for you too.
I'm another one who has problems with artificial sweeteners - so I avoid them even more strictly than I avoid sugar. (Insomnia, hyperactivity, trembling and headaches)
But that doesn't mean you will have the same experience.
There are a number of drinks that use stevia as a sweetener nowadays, including some sodastream cordials.
Have you tried the natural/not synthetic flavourings that you add to sparkling water? Have a google for 'aromhuset'. I bought mine from Amazon.
Also, bovril, beef or chicken varieties. Miso soup. Good quality stock cubes in hot water, as broth.
I find it easier in the summer. Winter, I too get sick of water.
