I'm surprised you are having difficulty with most of those ingredients. Many of them are available in my local stores that you mentioned and also in various health food stores. A quick Google online also revealed several online stores who stock the products.

As we are not allowed to post Advertising/ links to stores if Members have any in your specific area could they pm this member with details.

Thanks Cugila

Not as surprised as me. Tried more than one branch of each store listed and none of them had ANY of the ingredients on my list.

had wheat flour but not white whole wheat flour etc.. This was also the case with the few online suppliers that I found. I may be the case that the same product has a different name but as I'm pretty ignorant concerning all things wheaty, brany and flaxseedy I can't tell.

Again, Thank you

Probably down to that old 'chestnut' - supply and demand. Where I live there are loads of health food shops who seem to do a roaring trade. Is the bread you are making lo carb and/or gluten free ? I use a bread maker and just make small loaves from proprietary mixes and have a couple of slices over a day which remains fairly lo carb. I can't be bothered tracking down individual ingredients. Taste comes into it too. I once tried one of a members famous lo carb bread - tasted like cardboard and was about the same texture ! Gave up on that one pretty quick !

It is a low carb bread. I currently eat Burgen, do love "good" bread but want to greatly lower my daily carb intake. Found this recipe on the web, looks really nice.

Link for recipe: (Removed)

(Makes one loaf, about 1.5 pounds, recipe created by Kalyn.)

Dry ingredients - Mix in bowl:
2 cups White Whole Wheat Flour
1 cup ground rolled oats (oatmeal ground in a food processor, or use 1 cup whole oatmeal)
1/3 cup wheat bran
2 T flaxseed meal
2 T vital wheat gluten
1 T dough enhancer
1 tsp. salt

Wet Ingredients and sweeteners - Mix in measuring cup:
1 1/3 cup lukewarm water
1 T olive oil
1 T agave nectar
2 tsp. brown sugar

2 tsp. yeast (I used Red Star Active Dry Yeast, not a special yeast for bread machines.)

Follow directions for your bread machine. In my Oster Bread Machine I put the liquid in first, followed by the dry ingredients I mixed in the bowl. Then I make a small well in the flour and put the yeast in that. I used the whole wheat setting on the machine.

Watch bread while it goes through the first mixing cycle, and if it doesn't form a ball you may need to add either more flour or water, 1 tablespoon at a time. The dough should make a firm ball and be only slightly sticky.

If you're going to be taking photos of the bread for your food blog, you may want to take the dough out of the machine right before the final rise and gently fold sides under to make a loaf with a smooth top. When I didn't do that, I still had a tasty bread but the top wasn't as well-shaped.

My bread machine takes 3 hours 40 minutes for the whole wheat cycle. Bread is delicious hot or cold, and also makes great toast.

Does the recipe list the carbs? Cos White whole wheat flour will have quite a lot. It's kind of a mix of White flour and wholewheat flour. You could try mixing the two if you can't get the white whole wheat. And for the oats, just use normal porridge oats.

Anyone know what dough enhancer is?

I know dough enhancer (improver) as xanthum gum and is often used in gluten free recipes. Flaxseed is also known as linseed.
