Bread!!!

I've not tried one slice with a meal, I've just been having 2 or 3 slices for lunch with Turkey Salad or Salmon. It's not suiting me at all, so I'll look at Ryvitas and the likes. Shame because I love my bread!

Hello. I made the milled flax seed loaf at te weekend which is lowcarb and I ike it. It has quite a strong taste but pleasant. :)

That's always an option, make my own, I've got a breadmaker in the cupboard!

I'm new to this, only diagnosed about 3 weeks ago, but I'm finding bread raises my BG whether it be white (worst), wholemeal or granary. Need to think of something other that sandwiches to bring to work for lunch. Any suggestions?
i just dropped the bread completely for several weeks and then added one slice of rye bread which I found ok. Now also have bergen and one of my favourites ryvita smoothered with thick peanut butter

Sorry to be off topic, but aren't you supposed to be on the butchers' slab somewhere? (Good to see you posting.)

done, dusted, got the teas shirt and ate the sandwich (just to get it back on topic - posted in my thread)

I gave up bread completely when going lchf and dont miss it! Since going low carb I feel much livelier in mind (sometimes) body too! Lunches for work are often meat, cheese and salad, sometime with egg in too, tastes seem to have improved a lot too......not sure I would go back to bread, have some crackers in the cupboard at 6g carb each but haven't tried yet

I like crackers with cottage cheese, there are a lot of choice in supermarkets I enjoy all kinds of cheese so is no problem for me, try putting a strawberry or raspberry on top for extra taste.
