Breakfast Ideas

Hi Captain, don't feel you have to justify what you eat to anyone. Everybody can have their opinion of course but it's not their business, it's YOURS. x

Lol. You are technically correct, but when you put it our on a public forum for discussion, you are inviting opinion.

As to the original question, if you like plain yogurt, a 10%mf plain Greek or Mediterranean yogurt has about the right macros for a low carb or even keto diet. That's my current go-to when I dont want eggs and meat. Although on week days I find it just as easy and nearly as satisfying to drink my black coffee and go to work.

That sounds good . Where do you get psyllium husk from? Online I assume as I've not seen it in any stores (UK). I thought Holland & Barrett might stock it but they only have psyllium husk capsules.

Hi @Captain Crunch
Yes, I got a tub of psyllium husk off Amazon. Here’s a pic of what I ordered:

I have used Amazon to buy psyllium husk flour, also coconut flour, soy flour, ground almonds, and wheat gluten, I go to Grapetree, online, for nuts of all kinds - very fresh - have not had a bad one yet.

Warm season - boiled eggs.

Bacon butties: If I'm really hungry, or a 'second breakfast', a favourite is LCHF bacon butties - bacon that has not been treated with sugar is my fave, from my local butcher. Loads of butter smeared on my fave low-carb Swedish breakfast buns (almond flour, eggs, sour cream, avocado oil, seeds), pre-baked from fridge and popped in the toaster for that wonderful toast substitute.

Cold season - same breakfast buns with whipped cream and berries (for some reason this is too much in the heat, I don't know why).

Bacon and eggs.

Take with you to work? high meat content sausages. Cheese. Chicken nibbles and wings - (pre-cooked and home marinated in high quality olive oil and herbs and spices). Sugar-free gherkins.
And - those breakfast buns with butter and (sugar free of course) peanut butter.

@Lucylemonpip & @Resurgam - Thank you for that. I'll get ordering . I don't get why psyllium husk's not available in high street health shops though. It seems to be quite a common/popular item in ketoland.

Hence my response, yes you are inviting opinion but it is simply that, an opinion and as I said you don't have to justify what you yourself eat or do. Not sure it was that funny though.
