Hi everyone...so I am trying to get some tips/ideas for an easy quick breakfast and portion size. Have found porridge lovely and filling and since I had no meter to check have been having it a lot...Got a meter and strips etc which I bought as the GP doesn't give them to type 2's now, and I went into panic mode at (2hrs after eating ) breakfast reading of 11.2, so dumped the porridge idea, had wholemeal seedy 1 slice toast this morning with coffee and a splash of semi skimmed milk, got 9.2 so that is better but still too high...I have fibromyalgia and in the mornings it takes me a bit to get myself together so something quick is what I 'd like if there is such a thing that will help me get my reading's down in the morning. Apologies if this has been asked before, kind of in a whirl of what to do.
