Oer...spinach with cinnamon and apple? I'd have to be digging the bottom of the barrel, and actually I am not personally far off that when it comes to breakfasts.
Never been an 'as soon as I get up' breakfast type of person.
I am running into difficulties. I am trying to keep to a low protein diet for my kidney so if I had protein for breakfast it makes lunch and dinner more difficult protein wise. I have read so many times how processed meat is a terrible thing health wise and I am sticking with that, so that's pieces of ham out for me. ( It's salty too as is bacon which is bad for my kidney)
Yoghurt? I have bought three pots of the Fage total yoghurt and thrown 75% of them away each time as they lay heavy on me and I don't think my acid likes them. Really missing yoghurt. I was an Activia girl! For some reason, I don't seem to tolerate berries very well. So that's the yoghurt with a handful of berries out!
Fry up? Eggs? Bacon? = a lot of protein for me so early in the day.
I was having a slice of Burgen (buttered) with peanut butter or cream cheese ( still protein but not first class protein I think), every morning but my 2 hr BG has risen slightly over the weeks I have been doing that so I replaced it with Livlife toast which is slightly better. Then I got fed up with that every morning and seriously started to scratch my head. I have decided I really don't like oatbran with nothing sweet in it and I don't like huge rolled oats.
The last week I have been having a Finn crispbread with cottage cheese or just plain buttered with a small pice of cheese or Babybel. Trouble is, it does nothing for my energy levels and I am ready for lunch by 10.30!
Any more ideas??
