Broad beans

I have been maintaining my blood sugar for the past 6 months, and it maintains FBG 6-6.5 mmol every morning. Usually after dinner at around 7pm, I would get hungry after 3 hours, so instead of going for something heavy. I will eat around half plate of salted broad beans as snack before I sleep.

Is it ok to eat it almost everyday?

Depending on the portion size (don't know how big your plate is) a large handful could contain about 12g carbs, have you tried testing your blood glucose levels 1 hr and 2 hrs after eating the roasted broad beans?

Not many.
I often eat these, buy them frozen from Tesco, Morrisons or ASDA, hadn't heard of salted ones, so they must be a different thing...??? Roasted and dried ones..?

yes they are roasted and salted like peanuts, been in shops for few years but often more expensive than nuts

Sound yummy, just looked up and found Tesco's own, 45g carbs per 100g ~ shame, will pretend I don't know about them :confused:

Just back from looking myself. The bought ones have wheat flour and sugar in them. Home roasted would be lower carb with just oil and spices. Sounds interesting.
