Can anybody help, I’m looking to get a smartwatch soon and have seen some advertised that can give BS tracking / readings, has anyone got experience of one of these watches, how accurate are they?

My feeling is that if Apple, who have been researching how to make a smart watch take blood sugar readings for over a decade and haven’t managed it yet, then these current ones available are at best wildly inaccurate and worst don’t work at all.
If you just mean getting readings on a smart watch from a CGM such as Libre then yes there are some apps that will display your current reading from the sensor to your phone, then to your watch.

Edit to clarify.

I personally think getting a smart Apple Watch just to check bg is a waste of money. Then again if you have spare money, it might be helpful. I am very happy with my bg test meter.

I absolutely understand the idea that getting an expensive watch (if it ever becomes available) just to check blood sugar readings is a waste of time. That said- if they ever make that breakthrough I'll sign up. I currently self fund 3 or so Libre sensors a year just to keep an eye on things- they are excellent but expensive and obvious particularly in summer.

I'm not sure it will happen in my life time but hopefully for my kids :)

My husband (bless him) tried one of them and tested and no it wasn't accurate.
